Feed My People Food Bank
June 8th, 2012
As a food bank, Feed My People is a crucial link between food manufacturers, suppliers, and the front-line agencies that provide direct service to the hungry. They distribute food to 95 agencies in the 14 counties we serve. Feed My People Food Bank is the only food bank in west central Wisconsin. In addition to distributing food, Feed My People provides services and technical assistance to agencies that operate food pantries or programs so that they operate optimally. Preparing Youth for the Workplace — RECAP
Tuesday, May 15 2012
9:00am - 3:00pm
In a few hours, YOU can make a tremendous difference....
As part of our ongoing Workforce Readiness initiative, Metro Milwaukee SHRM is pleased to have an opportunity to share our time and talent to help improve the lives of Milwaukee-area youth by giving them the skills they need to not only compete for a job, but to succeed once they have one.
Over the past two years, nearly 100 HR professionals have taken time to counsel hundreds of students and recent graduates. If you were among them, you know how rewarding participation can be and we look forward to your joining us again. If you are considering volunteering for the first time - we encourage you to join us!
Metro Milwaukee SHRM and our Workforce Readiness partners can provide the location, the young people, the food and beverage, and the coaching materials, but what's missing is YOU. We need your enthusiasm, experience, and guidance.
Please join us as a volunteer coach, and thank you for helping these young people as they important first steps in their work life.
Sheboygan Area SHRM
In conjunction with the Sheboygan Area Head Start Program (supported by various local charitable organizations), we had 12 chapter members help to assemble just over 600 lunches for the Summer Lunch Program in our community. These lunches were then distributed, again with the help of an additional 11 chapter members, through 4 Sheboygan-based elementary schools.
